18th May 2016. Leaving Home. Forest Row, East Sussex, England.
Today is going to be the end of our UK tour and the beginning of our year away.
As we drove out of our driveway our lovely friends/neighbours Anne and Paul stood in the road and waved us goodbye, I felt extremely emotional.
We had arranged to meet my Mum, Step-father Brian, Dad and Step-mother Sylvia at a pub called The Nutley Arms in Nutley, East Sussex. The owner was lovely, he couldn’t have been any more helpful and the food was great, definitely a good place to stop for a meal.
We spent a few happy hours with our family and then the taxi arrived to pick up my Dad and Sylvia, it was extremely sad saying goodbye to my family, saying goodbye to everyone has been the only downside to our adventure.
From the Nutley Arms we drove 5 minutes up the road where we were staying at a Brit Stops called Forest Row Llama Park.
It was a great place to stop, there were sheep in the fields behind us and when we crossed the road we discovered a nice area to walk in the Ashdown Forest.
After a short stroll (we were a little concerned we might get lost if we went too far) we walked back to our motorhome and snuggled in for the evening. Considering we weren’t far from the main road it was surprisingly quiet in the van.
