Hi, my blog is a record of our year(ish) long tour of Europe, an idea sprung on me by my husband last year. A word of warning to anyone reading this who doesn't know me, I have an inability to use one word when a hundred will do, in fact this blog is the antithesis of Twitter! It also includes EXTENSIVE use of the words beautiful, pretty, nice, gorgeous, tasty, lovely and wonderful amongst others! I'll attempt to use some different words occasionally to ring the changes.
Journey to Ghent
A novel use for a London double decker bus.
Back in Belgium.
What are they?
Eeek! Pirates!
Hooray! We can see the motorhome dealership on the opposite side of the road, time to escape the traffic jam.
Rural scene in an hectic environment.
I love the patterns and colours on the sound baffles in Europe.
Back in Gent.
Ornate bridge in Gent.
Looking for the aire.
Climbing centre.
I’d hate to meet the bird that nests in there!
The canals are huge.
The landscape in The Netherlands looks so tranquil.
Rather a grubby looking elephant.
I love seeing the windmills that are dotted around the countryside.
Pollarded willow trees.
Willows growing their branches back.
The metal bridges are an awesome sight
These bridges look like they’ve been made from a giant mechano set, it must be a great job building them.
My yummy sandwich from Go Fresh at the service station.
