21st October 2016. Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, France.

We had another nice day wandering around the town and watching the world go by.

We wandered down the rocky breakwater out to the end where people were fishing, one of the men was lugging a very long pole, about 4 metres long, from one side of the fishing area over to the other.  It looked like he was hooking something out with it, then he carried it all the way back to where he’d first had it.

We walked back to the beach so I could paddle, I remembered to bring a towel to dry my feet this time!

In the evening we sat on the rocks opposite our van with a glass of wine and watched the sun go down until the mossies started biting.  That was our cue to return to our van and finish our glass of wine in comfort.
