9th February 2017. Roquetas de Mar, Spain.

More photos of yet another sunrise then we had breakfast.

After we’d had breakfast Jane suggested we cycled down to Aguadulce so we hopped on our bikes and made our way down there.  It is a lovely ride along beside the Salinas, the water was so calm it looked like a mirror.

We went right down to the marina where we walked up the steps to the top of the sea wall (that was thanks to Steve, we hadn’t noticed it last time we were there) and looked out over the crystal clear and sparkling blue sea.

Jane wanted to cycle round to the other side of the marine (we hadn’t been there last time either) and after we’d explored that side we found a restaurant beside the marina and sat there for ages eating, drinking, chatting and taking photos of the brave man who was climbing up the mast on the yacht in front of us to do some maintenance, rather him than me!

We decided to move on for dessert and cycled to the other end of Aguadulce where we found a cafe overlooking the sea.  It didn’t look much from the outside but it was up a flight of stairs and had a great view and the food that the waiter brought out to another table looked yummy.  We settled on coffee and cake, unfortunately there was only one slice of cake left but that was fine, there was more than enough to share between us all.

Jane and I cycled back at a sedate pace so that she could catch some Pokemon on her app and while we were cycling along by the Salinas a saw a big bird flying overhead, I tried to take a photograph but it was a teeny speck by the time I eventually managed to get my camera out of my bag.

It was our last evening together, because tomorrow we’re heading off in different directions, Steve and Jane are going further along the coast towards Fuengirola and we are heading up towards Cordoba via Jaen.  We got together in our van for our final meal.  We had another great evening in their company, there’s never a dull moment when they’re around, we’ve had such a lovely time travelling and exploring places with our new friends, it’s made our trip very special and I hope we can meet up again in the UK in the Summer.
