4th December 2016. Benidorm, Spain.

We were all going to meet up today but it was pouring with rain so we decided to have a duvet day.  Darren and I wandered up to the café on the site in the afternoon for coffee but that ended up turning into a whole meal.  The Spanish lady who did the cooking was very helpful and said she could do lots of different vegetarian foods then reeled off a load of things she could do, unfortunately although her English was very good she had a very strong accent and I couldn’t catch everything so we asked if we could take the menu to the table with our coffee and flick through it.  I found camembert crepes on the menu and asked for those, she was mortified and hid her face in her hands as she said she was so sorry they no longer had the crepe iron and apologised profusely.  In the end I chose a salad and it was gorgeous with pickled cabbage and asparagus in it.  We also had some very tasty apple and nut cake and an eggy pudding which was like brown crème caramel.

We virtually rolled back to the van we were so stuffed.
